Political equality means that every individual has the same right to participate in politics, and that everyone's participation is equally important. In a democracy, there can't be political equality without social and economic equality. Social equality means that people should not be limited on the basis of their social class, and that they should be free from discrimination. Economic equality means that wealth (income, property, etc.) must be distributed equally. Without social and economic equality, not everyone can participate in politics equally because everyone won't have equal resources (money, time and information). Only those who are wealthy and free from social limitations (discrimination, lack of education, etc.) will have the resources that will allow them to participate in politics easily and effectively. Those who are poor and face social limitations will have a harder time participating in politics.
