These days, it seems like everyone is talking about "going green." City dwellers are becoming interested in composting, and some are even willing to keep cans full of worms in their apartments so that they can compost at home. In the grocery stores, people are bringing their own cloth bags to use instead of plastic. The media constantly promotes products that are supposed to be more environmentally friendly and persuades us that we should make certain changes in our behaviors. Because of these messages, more homeowners are changing to compact fluorescent light bulbs to reduce their electricity bills and their carbon footprints, and more shoppers are choosing to buy organic food.
