Online Tutorials From the Center for English Language Support

This site offers resources and interactive tutorials to help non-native English speaking students develop skills in academic English.

Students can use the interactive exercises on the site to review and practice the skills that are
necessary for writing essays and research papers, editing writing for grammatical accuracy, understanding college textbooks, and preparing for the CUNY Assessment Tests. In addition, the site provides interactive exercises for selected academic disciplines, as well as advisement material for students interested in forensic science and criminal justice.

Faculty and tutors can get advice and resources for working with non-native English speakers.

This site has been customized for students and tutors at John Jay College and at CUNY community colleges participating in John Jay College’s partnership programs.  If you are a student or tutor visiting from another institution, choose Visitor from the pull down menu.
