The mission of the Guide to Teaching at John Jay College is to promote teaching excellence at all levels of college instruction; to lead new instructors (both full-time and part-time) through the practical process of teaching classes at the college; to offer guidance with technically enhanced teaching; to provide resources for current research on pedagogical issues; to facilitate self-development and provide a context for ongoing discussion of teaching; and to centralize the various resources and guidelines presently dispersed throughout college websites.
